Help with plug
Hi everyone, As a lot of you know I am in the process of engine removal,
What is the trick to get this plug apart with out breaking it.?? It appears to be two separate plugs on top of each other.
Thanks Chris

That is the 14 pin connector. I tried to attach a post with a picture of this separated. Comes straight up with a little coaxing. CAREFUL AS THESE PINS LIKE TO MOVE/FALL OUT.
Edit: The battery should always be disconnected with work like this.

Battery disconnected, then it should pull straight up. Avoid pulling the cover off the top, probable if you try to lift it by the cable only. Looking at the side of the connector, the parts separate about 2/3 of the way down the assembly.

Have some masking tape ready to tape the wires and pins. They have a tendancy to fall out of the plastic holders and get mixed up . If the wires are not lieing on top of each other in the correct order you will not be able to put the plug back together.Make a chart to get the wires back in the correct position so they line up correctly on assembly.
