Thanks JP. The picture in post 100 of the New Cover with the hole you made also shows that the back of the new Cover is not up where it belongs. None of the front surface of the matal cowl trim strip should be showing; and I suspect that if it were not showing with the back of the Cover fully up, you may not have needed the hole.

OOPS ! On careful examination, Jerry is correct. All I can say is I was misled by the lack of supports for the rear of the cover, and I didnt follow data and pics from those that showed how high the rear edge should sit. I still have the cut out piece somewhere , so I will refit it when I next go into that area. The clearance with the wiper arm is not great, but if I can keep the rear edge of the cover where it should be, we should be ok. I will probably support the replaced part with a thin sheet of plastic so the arm cant snag on anything, just to be on the safe side.
Another lesson learned, I hope.

Another satisfied customer
I installed Jerry's cowel cover a few weeks ago on my 84 Euro, and it fits/looks great. Shipping was fast and packaging was great.
The PO had cut my original cover to give clearance to the wiper mechanism on the driver's side for some reason. I feared that a new one might interfere, but not the case with Jerry's. I suspect that the original cover was flimsy enough to sag and contact the wiper mechanism, or someone had not installed it properly into the "clips" - so the solution was to cut the cover.
Anyway, Jerry's fits perfectly with no trimming required and no interferance with the wiper mechanism.
Thanks Jerry!

Jay C. found his way to this thread, so I thought I would bump it also to see if this might fit on someone else's Xmas list.
Just so you don't have to review the whole thread, these are $70 each plus $5 each for stickers, if they are desired (and they are period correct for those covers that had them--the early ones were on the airbox), and $20 for domestic S&H. Paypal to my email address:

Jerry, I finally found it. It will depend on how the parts I am listing on ebay this week do. I have a ton of stuff from my rebuild and I hope to get back a few $$ at least. If I come up wiith enough, I will definately order befrore Christmas, if not, It will be after but I definately want the spare cover. I may go for the cowel cover too. I am trying to get this car as perfect as I can before I get too old to keep up with it.
Cheers,
Cheers,

Yes they are. I just had a new batch sucked for the early and later cars which seem to be selling at a rate of just over twice the rate of the S4/GT version with the washer opening.
They are $75 each plus $15 for the Cowl Seal, plus $5 each for stickers, if desired. The S&H is $20 to Domestic.
You can paypal the money to my email:
jfeather@bresnan.net
Tell me the MY of your 928 so I will know which version you need and which sticker you should have if you order that/those. The S4/GT version uses two stickers.
If you send it this morning I can still get one in the mail before they close at 1:30p.

Hi Jerry, have you/are you planning to, do a version for RHD cars. I'm in Oz and my origial cowl cover has become warpped and a little cracked and does not fit/seal correctly. It's a MY89 S4. BTW, I loved your spared wheel cover. Sensational!!

I think I am going to work on those, maybe sooner rather than later. One thought I have is whether or not the RHD car's Cowl Cover is an exact reverse of the LHD cars? Would you be able to send me a clooe-up picture of your cover, the part on your driver's side with the Intensive washer cutout? I want to try to verify if that is exactly opposite from the ones we drive up here.

So, being stimulated to get this done, and while I was waiting for some glue to dry on the WW Liners, I dug up the two forms I had intended to convert to RHD and started the conversion. I am about a third of the way done and will fit some more of it in this week while I am finalizing this next batch of Liners.
