Hi,
First of all i have to let you know that i am not a car connoisseur but i'll try to describe it at my best acknowledge.According to an authorized dealer, it is in very good to excellent condition throughout, with all options working as they should.Engine and transmission are in perfect conditions, no leaks, no smoke, no slips. This car has had a great life (dealer's words). It's a non-smokers vehicle. It has never been in an accident. The brake pads are all in excellent condition. There aren’t any service indicators or warning lights on.
It has a clear and clean title, free of all liens and encumbrances.
This was my father's car who passed away in December so i know it has always been properly maintained and never abused. I moved out of town when i got married so i used to come back home occasionally. The very big distance, my kids and my job as a lawyer doesn't allow me to come there often. This is no problem for me as far as the transaction is concerned because I was selling this through VTP anyway. I believe you know what VTP is if you buy and sell online often, if you don't I'll be glad to walk you through the process. Let me know if you are still interested so i can get back to you with additional pictures or details.
Best Regards, Jeffrey Baskins

Ya no mention of looking at the vehicle. I say it's a scam. I will reply back and ask for the vin and location to look at it.

Sadly it still works for the bad guys..."Victory Trading Post - False Advertising for $4,000.00 on 09/21/2011
0 users find this report useful.upOn Sept.13, 2010 I found a 2008 Dodge Sprinter for sale on Chicago Craigslist for $12,000.00 and replied (the same day) to the seller named Richard Dowsett. Richard replied back to me on Sept.19 saying that he did not have internet and if I didn’t found something else the car is still for sale. On Sept.20 he emailed me pictures of the car: https://picasaweb.google.com/1154679...LxgJb068_howE# and told me to register on the web page of victorytradingpost.com (he had to go out of town to help his daughter with her wedding and left the car and title with Victory Trading Post). After I registered on VTP web page I was given the details about the transaction and instructions how to proceed.
On Sept.21, 2010 I had wire transferred a $4,000.00 down payment(from my 5/3 Bank account to VTP account at Barclays Bank,London,UK). Right after that I had faxed my wire transfer receipt to their US headquarters in Seattle,Washington(fax+phone # 206-338-9512),as I was instructed by VTP. VTP was sop post to ship the car to me in 24 hours after receiving the down payment. On Sept.22 was VTP last reply on my email.I asked them what was the vin # of the car, their reply was:
"Mr. Allan Bowman, the Victory Trading Post agent that handle your
transaction with Mr. Richard Dowsett is out of office to pick up a vehicle
from someone residence. This take a while because he must inspect the
vehicle, take photos and sign papers. Once he get back to the office will
contact you with the VIN#. The sale file is on he office. I've informed
him about your request. Please have patience. ".
Victory Trading Post and Richard Dowsett did not reply on my emails since they got my $4000.00 down payment. I also called and faxed VTP Seattle location with no respond.
I can’t believe this is a scam. Their web page looked so real; locations, phone #. They also had positive feedback on the internet. If I still can, what should I do to get my money back ?
If it did not work they would stop doing it, but it does.!

Yes, but only because the red dye has completely faded! It is amazing how fully and quickly those things faded away. You can tell they were originally red if you look where they turn up under the seats...the piping will still be a glorious red!!!!
BTW, I like that interior color as well!

Martinss i noticed you're in Palgrave. Well i bought my 87 S4 5 speed from a guy in Palgrave, would you happen to know anything about my car? I bought it last May. I'm near Collingwood in Singhampton. In fact, from your profile pic it looks like you live in the exact same subdivision as the guy i bought it from!
