Could it be a trick of the sunlight? Sunlight, in England? What am I saying ;-)

Roger, hope the weather plays its part, you may need to buy an overcoat though.

Have fun.

SE is the RHD version of the Clubsport, produced only in '88 MY - 42 of them were made.

It has the factory blue-printed engine with the extra "SP" designation after the engine number, along with a chassis and panels selected off the production line for lighter weight, plus some other weight-saving changes from the standard S4.

It has a stronger gearbox and better cams than the S4 (which were later used in the 89-91 GT), along with the lightweight Clubsport wheel rims.

Plus all SE's have no sunroof, and a full leather interior (dash, headlining, etc.).

Don't know where the friends house is and aware you know your way around, but I would drive to Waddesdon manor and attempt to snap a hi-res pic of it parked in front. It is a beautiful place in a nice region which should be extra nice this time of year. Cars can drive up to it with special permission. Blenheim is nice too, and ....

tv,
Great suggestions and we also have Blenheim on the list as well as Woburn and Warwick.
Ashridge House as we will be staying there will also make a great back drop. http://www.ashridge.org.uk/website/c...s?opendocument.

This is a serious tick on my bucket list – as long as I do not get put in prison for warp speed infractions it will be good.

Waddesdon is my favorite English house/location/look. The countryside there is amazing and you drive a very long "driveway" that circles up the large hill to get to the top which itself is large and flat where the actual house is located. I did not tour the house, just the grounds, but the wine cellar looks cool on their website.

Most impressive entrance I have experienced, "fire the chauffer" caliber, not many better places for a 928 photo shoot

THE ENTRANCE

The gardens ain't too shabby either

THE BACKYARD

Those links are worth the click ^^

Blenheim is also nice, I toured the inside there and the grounds. I have always wanted to go back to Blenheim to play Football (US) on the lawn there. It is the largest, flattest, nicest lawn I know of.

THE LAWN at Blenheim

an overview

So many other nice places including Hampton Court Palace, but that is better in the spring.
