My insurance company stepped in to represent me with their lawyers and did subpena all her med records etc. She still ended up winning about $28K.
More like her lawyer won 14k and she also got 14k ! No wonder many view an accident as winning the lottery. One insurance adjuster I spoke with said his company would settle for $5,000 just because the "injured" party asked for it. They only disputed higher amounts !

I have seen this with a few friends involved in accidents. One situation where my friend was not at fault almost got violent. The familia was blaming my friend for the accident and subsequent costs of their not having insurance, driver's license, etc..... Yes, they sued.

Glad you weren't hurt. Looking at his grille kit, headlight replacements, and rims I'd be surprised if he had insurance at all. Of course, he hit you so why did the family show up?

some wanted to pretend that they were passengers and injured in the crash ?? And given that in some states 25% of the cars are not insured and they tend to have a disproportinate number of "accidents" . Quite often you will get hit by an uninsured motorist and be dealing with YOUR insurance company.

Wearing their colors? Like 'anti-fraud insurance' -H.A. style!

Damn... that would have been something to see!

Glad you are okay. The car looks very fixable. New bumper cover, tail lights, latch set (going to be a bitch to get lined up). Any damage to the hatch?

Also be sure to check the exhaust all the way to the manifold. On a rear-ender there is a good chance the exhaust took a hit.

That Suburban has ugly wheels!

Funny though, a rear-end collision is 99.99999999999% of the time the fault of the rear-ender. Maybe they came out because they saw his shiny rims and thought he was a rich man.

The minivan/soccermon that I very nearly rearended on a one way street did a near panic stop from 45 MPH in an intersection with a long green light to make a right turn from the middle lane across two lanes of traffic. When you have to turn you have to turn That might have been the .000000000001 . I ended up about a foot from her rear bumper.

Another "UPDATE"
Hagerty's, adjuster was at the house today. Dee said he took lots of pictures, looked in at the spare tire compartment, and mentioned that it wasn't deformed. They want to get the car into a Porsche body shop, get it up in the air and look at the damage under the car. He told my wife it didn't look to bad, and stated that 928's are very robust cars.

I would appreciate any suggestions regarding an honest Porsche body shop in Las Vegas. I have zero experience in this regard to Porsches. I'm in Hobbs,N.M. till April 1st, and not able to work this part out.
Thanks in advance, Joe
