Don't take offense as my statement wasn't to offend. I'm considering them (if they're still available) however I've never seen one in person and am worried about any discoloration done to the inside of the housing and whether it can be cleaned or not. It appears from the pics that there is some discoloration to what appears to be a stainless ring on the inside of the lamp. I'm searching to see if it is metal or maybe just some dirt? Do you see what I'm refering to?

New are what?...like $300 each.. so you can't compare to new. I got a set of these from Porken and they were similar. I was able to wash the interior out with vinegar/water and dry rice.....swish it around and let it sit for 1/2 hours.... drain .....rinse......drain..and then I put them in the oven under the lowest setting till the moisture was gone.
BTW..when you take off the rear bulb cover....it's just an open hole into the lens (and the reflecting cup around the H4 bulb)...(I assume the rear cover and the cup around the bulb inside the lens are still there on this set?). All in all pretty easy to clean and dry out. The only problem would be if the seal around the front edge of the glass is compromised..and moisture can get in after the back is sealed..

FWIW if you got these lamps you should carefully tape next to the lamp lens seam with blue tape, clean the seam with alcohol and or acetone,
then run a bead of Hondabond 4 around the joint of the lens and reflector,
let it set up then remove the tape it wont leak anymore and it will look factory

The seal can be, um, sealed with a wipe of clear silicone if there happens to be some defect in it (or follow Stan's even better suggestion posted as I was writing mine). The lenses are bonded tightly to the reflector. If the lenses have no cracks and the one hazy reflector can be cleaned, these are a good deal. You don't need the buckets or base, although the base will include the proper electric adjuster motors, so that's a real plus if you want to implement the leveling system, as Alan has done - Roger can get the rest of the parts You can remove the adjusters and install them on your current bases.[Oops! Seller clarified they are hydraulic adjuster type, not electric.]
I already have a set of S4s installed on my car, but these come around so rarely, I'm tempted to grab them as spares. H4s are so superior to H5s, this is a real good upgrade. H4s work very well with a HID Hi/Lo kit, unlike H5s.

Damn! I was interested as stated above but I lost track of this thread and never saw it again after my post until now. Call me if the pending sale doesn't go through.
