But - at the end of the day - you are driving a Porsche home - and they are driving what...?

It's not only about going fast - it's how you go fast and even how you go when you aren't going fast

Alan

And ... just imagine how desirable their cars will be when they are 24 years old...

lol... so true..

The guy doing the sheet rock in my house has been all in awe over my 928...
he has an 89 convertable mustang and an 86 5.0LX...

I was down looking at his car while he was finishing up the house and it was a turd... It looked like crap.
It was in good condition, but it was dated and ugly... then i looked at mine... Timeless and beautiful..

I went on a road trip monday and had several comments on my 87... I have kids all the time comment on my car.. I will guarantee that he almost NEVER gets those kinds of comments....

again, it is not all about the speed...

I bought a 928 because I fell in love with the design in H.S. back in 79!

Nothing has changed!

I have to disagree. I have a 91 Mustang LX 5.0 convertible and I get tons of comments in it as well as my 928. My Mustang body and paint are in great condition and it is a rare color(dark green over white leather). Most the fox body Mustangs look like crap because they have been abused. I still think they are great looking cars when in good condition.

I also notice little kids love both the 928 and Mustang.

Exactly what Allen said.

And never forget that the 928 was (and still is in few ways) A SUPER CAR.
Also, it was the fastest production car in 1987...

We can't say nothing like that with Camaros and Mustangs!
How many of those two were built? Many hundreds of thousands if not millions.

Only about 62K 928's were ever built in 17 years. That's an average of 3600 car per year!
The 928 is part of the exclusive car club.
Be proud to own such a car.

Let me guess - posting on a cell phone?

That's the only possible explanation.

I have no idea about how they run on the track,
But I do know that the 2011 V8 Camaro chased me up to 260 kph before he quit.
I don't think he would have let me win, do you

I attended a local county fair last night with a few new Mustangs on display. What cheap crap and then you only get 19mpg on a new 5.0. I am going to do a test drive when I go back so I get a chance to win one. I would sell it immediatly of course. I will update after the drive.
