I think I have an EZK chip from an early S4 that I don't need and with which I'd part cheaply. I don't have an LH chip, however; maybe someone else here has the other half of the set.

When it was installed only thing that changed was Tim did the shark tune for it sorry I don't know the difference between the EZK and the LH. Only thing that was changed was the chip for the timing so i don't know which one I need. Will take what you have if it is the right one.

There are two computers in the S4: EZK is the ignition/spark computer and the LH is the fuel injection side. Typically, both would be tuned/customized so as to be "on the same page" (memory pun intended). I am no expert, however.

So, I think you would need a stock EZK chip and a stock LH chip to go back to stock, replacing the tuned chips in each computer. I wouldn't expect smooth & efficient running with a mismatched pair, especially if one was tuned for SC and the other was stock.

The EZK chip I have here is marked "2 227 355 334", so according to this thread:
https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...-and-year.html

I have a 91 S4 chip; although different, probably not substantively from the 87 chip.

I'm happy to sell the EZK chip for $25 shipped but I would recommend you find someone with an S4 LH chip to go with it, or contact Elektronik Repair or JDS Porsche to get a matched pair and forget about mine unless someone chimes in with an S4 LH chip they have lying around.

You need to talk to Tim Murphy as what chips you need. You car may have non standard size injectors. He is the best person to advise exactly what you need.

Nothing changed on the injectors I had the Stage 1 kit, I found a set of performance chips and am going to just use those.

Thanks Cliff

OK on Stage 1 kit. I assume you've removed the FMU so stock chips or similar should be fine.

Cliff,
If you still need them, I have a set of a set of performance chips available.
