Nice job on the letters; not a coffee drinker, huh? Did you do the powder coating yourself or did you send it out? Either way it looks sweet.

Thanks, I did everything myself. Lots of prep work ! but it was worth it. I really like the colors and cant wait to put them back on... I was going to install the cam covers today, but I forgot that when I took them apart for stripping I broke the plastic cone that goes on the rear breather hose fitting. Does anyone know where I can get one of those asap? I'm doing flappy bearring in the mean time

Are you talking about the black plastic thing that looks like a small cup? Those have been NLA for a long time, see if 928 international has them?

Did you also replace the bearings for the throttle body were the TPS bolt to?

Also, make sure inside the intake is clear of any kind of media, if you used media blasting to prep it. several s4 engines have been destroyed by the owner not properly cleaning the left over media. You need high pressure water to get rid of the media if sand was used.

Did you drain the coolant before you took the intake off?

I did not do the throttle body bearings , They looked ok and worked smoothly. Is it a bad idea not to do them?

The coolant was drained before I took the intake off. I just did the timing belt /waterpump.

It's not the bearing that goes bad, its the sealing ring that goes dry and causes air leak.
