Roger's cats are 100 cell, so nice high flowing. Personally I think I'm going to try without cats first. Also they can be had here in the great white north for about 300 a pair, so no real savings buying them from Roger.
I'm going to figure out my shopping list over the weekend and email Roger on Tuesday, let me know if you want to get anything delivered at the same time.

Umm but you kinda started this in your OP in this thread. But I digress. Everyone takes their own path for their own reasons.
Just make sure you are not behind me in the SITM parade LOL!
Adam: I remember seeing a post from Roger talking about exhaust parts recently and I believe a pair of his hi flow cats for the x pipe was $360 or something like that.

Point take about driving behind you if I make it to SITM this year.

I got spun-stainless cats for my GT (and also for my E55) from Random Technology. On the GT, they brought me into compliance with Texas's emissions rules.
On the E55, I wasn't having emissions problems, but my original-equipment cats were breaking down after a measly 146,000 miles. So I replaced two pairs of Mercedes cats and two resonators with one pair of Random Tech cats and one crossover. Bwaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!
Random Technology's website is having some issues, but you couldn't order online anyway. Their phone number is 770.554.4242.

The cats we have been supplying for our crossover are custom made for us and are indeed 100cpi, spiral wound metal matrix. You can always go with the generic/cheap/magnaflow cats that don't have nearly the OBD2 wash level and do not last for any amount of time if you like. We have been selling ours to some pretty hardcore users, rally for one. They have complained that the cheap ones last less than one race while ours last at least 6 races. The "cost effective" cats substrate breaks loose and quickly turns into a ball plug.
Random Tech cats are 200cpi and cost considerably more than ours while having more restriction. On the dyno I was losing 14-16hp with ceramic cats, 7-8hp with 200cpi and 1-2hp with our cats. The choice is yours...but either way I would suggest 100cpi cats.
Both Roger and Carl have full access to our products and I have another batch of cats that were due to be finished on the 15th so they should be back in stock soon.

I'm running the 100 cells with an Ott X.
The retailers site is here: http://www.mandrelbendingsolutions.c...High%2C/Detail
I've been to their shop and got a quote for my GTO, they do impressive work making tube/pipe look like cursive scribbles...I didn't ask for the details of the cat construction, however. They do have a flow bench onsite.
Lomas' stuff is proven for the application, however. But I sure wish his website URl would go active....

They are 10" or 10.5" in length, I did not ask him much more as I already decided to go Catless for now.
You can get these (200cell) locally in 2.25" 2.5" and 3", and they are 10" long so will fit.

That's $260 plus taxes (with no hardware), Rogers are $360, so not a big difference in the end. If had to get cats I would probably just get them from Roger since he gives you everything you need and cuts the X-pipe down for you.
Just a warning, since your car is an 89 and you need cats, if you go with a 100 cell cat you may or may not have problems passing the e-test. If your car is running in tip top shape it should pass, but it leaves no margin for error. The 200 cell cats will certainly pass, even if you car is slightly out of tune.
You could always just put your factory cat back on for your e-test.

Normally Roges ships with USPS to Canada, so there are no borkerage fees. I don't know if an X-pipe is too big for USPS, but if it isn't, ship it to your house. You'll have to pay duty either way, so might as well save the headache.
