If you didn't have alot of droop this probably wouldn't be a concern, the inner wheel well would be the limiter of tire width as it should be.
At what point does it start to interfere?

The race guys just push the wheels out more to get a wider track so I doubt it has been done. With 914s they sell plates to box the arms when running big 6 cy/v-8 power. Lacking any engineering input you would tend to overkill the add on reinforcement. Just find a very good welder to TIG it back together.

OK.
If you're going to 'pin' them as well as notch, you might as well cut that whole portion of the arm off and weld a new one with a radius to clear the wheel and nice end for mounting a rod end.

I'm looking at an arm now and can see that being a nice mod with some effort and craftmanship which is right down your alley.

Here's the only usable pic I have marked up with what I was thinking.
While you're at it you might as well add that bar at the rear like mine since the thin part wont need to flex anymore after 'pinning'.

Just let a tow truck driver try to bend that!

I'd say don't do it.....also why pin the axle....mine isn't pinned, niether is Kibort-Anderson-Fan....

Just have your wheels made with slightly less offset to make it clear on the inside.... When I run Sean 19x11's with 295 tires, the offset on the rim is so high I have to run the 21mm spacer to keep it from rubbing on the inside.... Its much easier to make the fender wider than modify the suspension

The "Widow" had GTS flares welded in, with a bit of fender rolling on outside...you could fit STUPID wide tires back there.....335's had plenty of room to spare..even with GTS sized spacer....

What diameter wheels are you using? Mine are 18's and the LCA sits just inside... no spacers. I'm running 295/30/18's on 11x18 rims. 19's would give even more room inside the wheel.
