Default Deoxit question on CE Panel

I'm still prepping for my CE Panel cleaning in a few weeks and after a lot of searching it looks like there are a good number of recommendations for Deoxit (both regular D series and Deoxitr Gold) for cleaning the terminals.

In looking at the Caig website, each version is available as a standard or non-drip non-flammable version. The main difference seems to be the standard formula is 95% VOCs (i.e. solvents to provide flushing action) and the non-drip non-flam is 20% VOCs. The site says both are safe on plastics but there is an implication that the lower VOC formula may be safer, presumably due to the lower solvent content.

So...long winded way of asking which version are you guys using? If you aren't sure, the non-drip non-flam version has an "N" in the product number. (i.e. D5S-6 or G5S-6 for the regular formulation of Deoxit and Deoxit Gold vs GN5S-6N or DN5S-6N for the non-flam non drip formulas of each.

I'm using the regular. Have not found any problems on any plastics. Per the instructions, the higher VOC content needs 2-3 minutes to flash-off before applying voltage. After that, it's not flammable.

I'm using whatever version they sell at radioshack. Have not observed any plastics damage to the CE panel or connector housings. Sometimes damage to plastics take a year or so to show up. Its probably been a year since I did my whole CE panel and no damage yet.

Cool. Thanks. I have a feeling most guys are using the regular Deoxit and Deoxit Gold. I don't have a background in electronics and as a layman there seems something intrinsically strange about spraying liquids onto electrical components, which probably has me doing way more Google searching and reading than many people would on this stuff.

I emailed a local supplier a similar question not long ago, and they responded that they recommend the D5S-6 DeoxIT Spray, 5%, 142g.

I used this stuff when I did my CE panel....

That's a blurry pic, but it is the regular D5. I bought it at a guitar shop. I also used Stabilant on the CE panel.

Here is a link to my panel refresh....
