Default Aero Mirrors

Does anyone know if these 993 Cup door mirrors will fit an 80 928. Maybe with the 928 bases? TIA, 77Tony http://www.ebay.com/itm/190636414918...WAX:IT&vxp=mtr

the different models 911.944,928 use the same mirror housings BUT different bases which match up to the angle of the door skins. So yes you would need 928 bases and gaskets.

Don't need power, heater, just manual aero mirrors for less $$. T

Roger should have both.
I don't know at what price though.

The glass in the mirrors is different for left and right hand drive, you would be better off with ones from a left hand drive car to start with as after you add the bases and gaskets they are getting expensive.

You're right, it is a very important thing to check when you buy those from outside America.
They say they're for a left hand drive car so there should be no problem with those.

Tony, by the time you find 928 bases/gaskets, if the price on those is $395.00 US, you may be better off just getting a full "kit" from Roger, although I'm not sure of the current pricing...

Just checked on www.928intl.com and they are $ 1224 for the set, ouch. IIRC, Roger was not far behind on price, and was not happy letting me know this crazy price. Figure if I can pick this 993 set on fleaby for $ 400, pick up some 928 bases and gaskets for another $ 100, that's approx $ 500 for all that's needed. I plan on having them painted along with the "Just Peachy" 80 when ready. If someone can guide me to the parts needed from the pic below, it would be much appreciated. T

This price is probably too high to have them shipped from the UK. I'd suggest checking Roger's price as well as Sunset. I've seen used manual versions go for less on Ebay here (not including the 928 bases).
