The only Porsche dealer mechanic that was 928 savvy (at Ira) just retired, and is not doing any side work.
Dave C is the master, and if he can't help you he might know who can. Dave is meticulous and careful with your car.
Kevin at Randolph Racing is good, but it is a race oriented shop.

Tony and I met a long, long time ago - 1999. We traded some e-mail this evening. He's ok with a long lead. I'm doing first-come first-served for dates AFTER SITM. 'cause if I have to drive the Pumpkin again Blown87's gonna make pie...

I recommend Autobahn Performance, Inc. in Peabody, MA. They are active with the local PCA and are very nice folks. There always seems to be at least one 928 there being serviced, there was one up on the lift this morning. I think the owner owns 1 or 2. Last time my car was there, another 79 came in for service, and the VI was only 6 in front of my car. What are the chances of that?

When I lived on the North Shore, I took all my sharks to Autobahn. However, the last time they corner-balanced my car, it was so whacked that the hood wouldn't even sit straight, and I believe I paid for a new battery I didn't actually receive. Probably a good place to get your timing belt done, given your location, however-- I didn't have complaints before that and I know they have experience with that job (I think Rick H. owns a Weissach Edition 928).
I have had good experience with a small shop in Framingham, Eurotech Advanced Automotive. It's owned by more of a 911 guy, he maintains a GT3 race car or two, but he is very meticulous and straight-shooting (like Dave C.), and for more "generic" or "esoteric" jobs, for example, exhaust or suspension (or Dynapak runs), I would not hesitate to recommend him. He provides before/after pictures of the work he does.
