Default baby is happy.....

well I just finished a few maintenance items and WOW is it running great..

i replaced all the power steering hoses and resivour...figured while i was replacing the PITA pressure line, i might as well replace the rest...

I also replaced the breather hose to the alternator...

i replaced the front passenger wheel bearing as well....

well i drove it tonight and wow... i LOVE this thing... my grin was ear to ear...

maybe because i have not driven it much recently, but it drove fantastic...

the vibration is now gone.... guess it was the play in the wheel bearing.

the heater blows much hotter now, i guess because the breather tube is working now......

the whole car is much smoother.... handles like a dream.......

WOO HOO

Just giving them a good bath makes them feel better.

Yes, it's a car, but that car knows when it's being taken care of.

I can't see the correlation there.

Maybe you cleaned the temp sensor located in that cooling tube?

Sounds like it just needed a little loving... :-)

I'm halfway thru the TT job and noticed a PS fluid leak... Need to check hose to reservoir... Looks wet!

Question: My 88, S4 steering and front end vibrate after 60mph...I have put new tires on the car and had them balanced 4 times and still the shake...

Could the shake/vibration in the steering wheel and front end be due to the wheel bearings...?

thank you...

Further, the suspension is also stock and my baby had 140k miles on them...I have heard and read somewhere that shocks/struts can also cause vibration when driving...

I wanted to replace the suspension with new ones anyway, guess I will do the front first and see if my vibration above 60 goes away, if not then change the fron bearings as well.

thoughts...?
