Default New Headlight relay "Replacement" not working

I have an 84 928. Needed a new healight relay. 928.618.107.00 is now replaced with 928.618.107.05 this new relay pops the lights up but they now have neither high or low beam? Porsche only has the new relay available, since it supercedes the old number. What is the fix for this. Looked all over for a used relay, they are a little hard to come by. I need 2 of them. Any help would be great.

I put another NOS relay I had ending in "00" Thats how I know these new relays do not work right. I have it pin pointed to new relays not being compatible. This is a known problem. Thanks

Why on earth do you need 2? and why do you say its a known problem?

Begs the question... why are you changing it out? and are you sure the fault isn't something else?

For example - if your headlights actually aren't getting to the correct stop point they might not turn on - due to that?

weird - maybe try ordering some elsewhere - like Roger maybe? Or even go used - at least they won't be part fo a defective new batch...

I ordered a replacement at the Porsche dealera couple of weeks ago.
Also the updated part number for 1984 . Works perfect in my car.
Leo. 1984 S2 euro 5 spd. Netherlands.
