Looks great! BTW, it looks like your "5 miles per hour" decal on the passenger side rear window has yellowed. Let me know if you need a new one.

Some of the stickers are GONE from the rear QTR windows altogether. This poor car had a TON of money spent on it (I added up the receipts for the PO's 10+ years of ownership...including getting rear ended by someone) and it was OVER $41k (YES, $41,000!!!), yet STILL led a very rough life! This most recent repair (including the T-belt, H2O pump) puts MY repairs (thank goodness for insurance) at a TICK over $30k!!! OMG!

Still looking forward to doing the tribute, but going to enjoy the black paint for a little longer and I have decided to do a pearl green wrap because there are several choices that are SUPER CLOSE to "THE LAST"... With any luck that will preserve the nice new black paint as well, so should I get tired of the green I can at least go back to black! We shall see! I'll keep you all posted of course!

James, what is your understanding regarding the affect on the old paint job once you remove a wrap?

Charley, I will have to talk to the guys that put them on...honestly I am not sure. I am more hopeful than anything really, that the paint below will be preserved and with CAREFUL removal might survive to live another day. I could be completely wrong about that and perhaps when you take ANY wrap off much of the paint comes with it... I just don't know

Steve, alas only 10... at this rate I'll NEVER catch Roger!

The wrap will actually protect the paint underneath. Most of the damage to paint happens when the wraps are applied improperly. A poor installer will scratch the paint with the blade while trimming the material.

^^^^^^
Thanks for that info. I think the guys who will be doing this are quite good! They have done tons of commercial stuff (which probably is not good) but have also done quite a few HIGH END cars for color changes as well... They recently did a 997TT in flat white! PRETTY COOL! Not for me, but cool! They also did a Mazda Speed3 in Lambo Orange with a CF wrap hood... Those are just a couple I can think of off the top of my head. I think they did a flat black Viper too...
