A steamer does work very well. Just take your time. I have heard that the trash bag method does very well too but I have never tried it. On windows without defroster lines you can use ammonia and very very fine steel wool to clean up the residual glue. I would not use the steel wool on the defroster lines though. If you are an impatient person like me and end up with a lot of glue and are way too lazy to use ammonia there is a secret to getting the glue off fast and I always use this method on defroster lines. Cover dash, carpet ect with a trash bag and spray carb cleaner on paper towels and wipe the glue off. This is the fastest way but my wife gets pissed when I use a couple rolls of paper towels.

I already have the steamer, I have some simple green, I have steel wool, I have black trash bags. If I put all of this stuff together and cover my dashboard will the cracks go away? Please oh please say yes.

Steamer and Windex is all that you will need. Maybe a razor to tiddy things up...15 min tops....

5 minutes for the back window to get the first layer of tint off. They are all double-tinted. I used a steamer for the first layer and for the second I'm going to use the Simple Green method. Thanks for all the advice, the small areas where the tint is completely removed are awesome!

How well does SG work on air leaks in the intake? Ha ha...
