I have the car adjacent cylinders are good but when cold # 6 is 60Lbs, when tested warm it went to 120.
I did the gm cleaner overnight piston looks completely clean, with my scope I see what looks like a streak on the wall it covers about 1/2 inch width and follows the wall down.
Since this is an 86 the heads will not come off with out the motor out, never mind his wife wants him to sell it. Any advice of what I should tell him there is no way he will want to put the money into this. He has over 12K into now all the major stuff is done and needs about 1K more if this did not happen. He may have to sell it it's a nice car too bad this happened.

Sounds like it is a pretty seriously goosed engine that needs removing before you can detemrine the scope of the damage- somewhat pointless to pull the head in situ [even if it has set bolts] me thinks.

Engine out problem to me- crap shoot whether the motor can be recovered if the bore is gouged.

The problem is on the bottom end, not the top end. Removing the head will only give you a better look at what's bad.

I've done it both ways with a 944 & 928.

Technically the proper way is reverse of how the factory installed it.

Default Blow by and resale value

I need a little feedback on blow by and the best way to address this. I know there is a scrubber available from Kuhn and all the pro-vent options but I need a cheap solution. My thought was to add a bypass hose vented to free air to minimize the pressure on the intake. This is the same way the S/C is set up on the 86, any ideas?

Secondly what is the car worth: "141K?" 5-Speed red/black
All the front end of the motor done except the water pump.
Intake refresh.
New clutch.
Shocks.
Needs injectors cleaned, Motor Mounts , Maf rebuild?, has repaint, hood has dent, car shows real nice seats ok but not great, dash has two cracks, pod is covered in some type of leather covering. The usual dash speed-o mileage issues with a lazy tach.
