Default Unconnected wires under dash? 86.5

When I replaced the ODO gear in my 86.5, I noticed two unconnected wires under the pod. They look similar to the ones connected to the rheostats for the brightness / wiper interval speed, with black rubber insulation on the connectors.

Does anyone know where these wires are supposed to hook up to??

I took a picture to makes things a litte more clear:

Sorry, can't tell you what they're for, but I do remember having some extra stuff in there on mine.

If your car is a 5 speed you'll have extra stuff that would be for the PRND display if it were an auto. I feel like there was something else in there that was an option or some unused wiring but I can't remember what it was.

in your info line please put if your car is an auto or 5 speed
These wires come from the factory not connected to anything on your car.

BUT if you want to search them see if the brown has continuity to ground and see if the blue wire has power, possibly when the lights are turned to park or headlamp,
also might be a cruise control cut off.

If everything is working on your car then these wires done get connected to anything

Only thing that does not work is the wiper interval, but I suspect the relay.
wires to thereostat are connected.

would be great if anyone knows if the wires are supposed to be unconnected or not.
