Any 16v? CIS? Ljet? Those cars do not use chips. This kit was designed for kjet cars (84& 85 euros).

Yes she can be tough when it comes to money.

Any 16v in regards to a aftermarket engine management but I understand a Euro 16v is perfect

Hi Stephen,

As I said earlier this afternoon, sorry to hear this, it really is a darn shame!

I am not going to comment on asking price etc, but I do need to clarify a few things to make sure there is correct information being posted to avoid any confusion for potential buyers.

This price you mention is for a Production 32V Intercooled System with a Custom Cast Intake assembly, the system you have is a Prototype 16v NON-intercooled system with a 3 piece water-jetted intake made from 3 flat pieces of aluminum.

The chips I have provided are always included in the system price, including any updated/revised chips we make at NO charge. In all the systems I have sold I can't recall charging anything for updated or revised chips, and certainly not a grand.

All of the package systems I have sold and will sell are 100% complete and include EVERYTHING you need.

I know the adrenaline is flowing right now(it would be for me too) and I just want to make sure that in all the excitement that the correct information is put out to avoid any disappointment or confusion to a potential buyer.

As mentioned to you earlier I have an 86.5 5.0 short block if you decide to do the hybrid you mentioned, plus other engine parts. I will be happy to work with you on anything you need to get the "Red Car" back on the road to be enjoyed again ASAP.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi Andrew,

Just to clarify..this prototype was made ONLY for 84-86 LH 16V Euros, will not work with any KJET (regardless of year :-) or L-Jet in it's current configuration.

Sounds like David has got you covered with which ever way you want to go.
Listen to his advice and if I were you, I would take up his very kind offer of help.

Yep, that Euro and I have had over a decade of fun together, and I would be happy to do whatever I can to make sure it is back out on the road doing what it loves to do....being driven and enjoyed!!

Out of dozens I have owned, the only 928 I ever regretted selling, even to this day.

Sorry to hear your trouble. This is just a suggestion but I wonder if you would be willing to install a SC Renagade Chevy 350 setup. There was a rescent EBay purchase by a member here. I believe he is parting the entire car out. If I have my information correct the car was purchased in Dallas and is getting moved somwhere east to get parted out. Maybe near you. I believe the purchaser was going to offer the engine and kit for sale when he removes what he needs.

I purchased the salvaged(due to CE panel fire) Renegade 928 with 350 TPI SBC and a Paxton S/C. I got the car for the wheels, trans and interior. I am selling the motor and hybrid kit together or separate. I have a '84 Euro LH car so your S/C setup would work on my car. If you are interested in a Chevy setup for temporary purposes to get your car back on the road, maybe we could work out some sort of trade? Once you build up a new 928 motor, you can easily resell the Chevy stuff. The car is being picked up Wednesday and I should have it by Friday. I would be willing to do the trade plus some cash.

This is crazy talk! There is no way that that car would ever be whole again no matter how good the initial intentions.

Stephen, i may not have any right to say this and it may not be my place but it seems that everyone else is biting their tongue. You know that's not my style. You have somehow forked up a very special car in record time. This is a car that a great many people got to know and admired over the years at SITM. It is a car that should not be broken apart or made less than what is was when you got it. You chose to be it's caretaker. Now you have an obligation to make it whole again or put it in the hands of someone who will. I know that this seems a little overwhelming now and your wife is likely telling you "I told you so" or maybe something worse. It will pass. It always does. Weather the storm and get this car repaired properly without breaking it up. Maybe it needs to go into storage for a few months while you get your ducks in a row. There are alot of people here that will help you and help make sure the car doesn't go the way of the Dodo bird. Take a deap breath and weigh your options after the dust has settled. In the mean time, be a little extra nice to your lovely wife. It will pay off in the end. If you keep this car and keep it whole, you will thank me for this advice later. Try to enjoy the weekend.

What exactly happened? You had a running car and now not ... what transpired inbetween?

Thanks for the concern. I just paid a lot of cash for this car and now she is fubar. I got to drive it for less than a 1000 miles. If I had the money I would build a motor and set her up but I don't have the cash and the wife is NOT HAPPY! I need to use the money from the sale of the SC to get a shortblock and get her back on the road. Plus I need to buy the intake etc so I am going nowhere until I sell the unit.

I am willing to listen to any offer that seems reasonable. It is never about the money for me. It is about getting back on the road so I can enjoy this beautiful car!
