Hey Guys,

we were planning to show up tomorrow night, but Linda hurt her back and even after some treatments, she still has a hard time seating for long periods.

But if at all possible, we will try and at least make it to the happy hour and say Hi to everyone.

In case anyone is still looking for a room there is one available Saturday night. You should call Judy (361-790-8439) and tell her you want the room for Randy (John) Carter. She just called to let me know about a reservation that was cancelled; I was on her list for a room in case of a cancellation. No telling how long she'll hold it.

The bad news for us is that we will not be able to join you. Our housesitter cancelled on us and I have to go to San Antonio Saturday afternoon to pick up a load of flagstone. We're having our pool decked and the masons need more stone.

Seen quite a few 928's go by the shop this afternoon....

Rockport-Fulton 3 blocks into Fulton...between the Speedy Stop and The Valero on Catcus and 35......

Have a contractor doing work for us and we got home late this evening. Going to take the 79 into town and see if any of you all are still awake......

 

Block from the house....brake pad light came on......

Half way to town, tail lamp light came on with master caution (wouldn't reset) and the alternater guage dropped to the bottom....

Stopped at the shop, all lights working. Cleaned the battery/chassis ground and the + post. Went to start..not enough juice.......

Grabbed the jump starter from the shop hooked it up and she started right up alternator gauge jumped up to 13.8 volts.... Turned on the lights no tail lamp warning.....decided to let her run and charge the battery a little....

Went into the shop for a few minutes and came out to the smell of a hot engine....the electric fans weren't on........ Locked the shop and headed home...

Brake pad light came on.........temp gauge down to normal half way home.....no master light or tail lamp light....

Pulled into the driveway,shut her down and still no fans....went to the shed to get the battery charger, came out and the fans kicked on........

I will admit I haven't driven her in 3-4 weeks...........

and She is pissed...........

I got stuck working today. My scheduled end time is 00:30 tonight, if I don't get held too late I will try to trek down.

 

Well, the pick of Roger with his jumbo bottle cracks me up, and I'm glad to see that some things have stayed the same!
