Talking Need some help from you guys

I'm getting some "color code decals" replicated for some Rennlister, not the one in the spare cubby hole but the one in the engine compartment. The reason for the duplicates is that those decals are now NLA & can't be found anywhere.Up to date I got some done for some 968/944s/928 & 993 peoples, there is no money gain for me in doing so just a service to our community.Readable decals are sometime very hard to find & finding good example is kind of a lucky strike.Looking for an 89 "LINEN METALLIC",sending you guys some pics so that you'll know what they look like, also pic of a replicated one I got done for my 968. Serial # 928.701.167.04 is the same no matter what kind of P cars you owne. BTW the decal doesn't have to be perfect as long as the letters & numbers are readable. TIA

Yeah, it looks like there should be a 2-digit letter/number code on the 4th line...

Ernie, your first pic looks golden and your second looks like brushed stainless. Are these ones you did? I think they were originally a matte silver.

Looks like the -03 sticker became the -04 sticker sometime between 88 and 90.

Like mention you will have to find a readable decal.Just can't go by the car color or the sticker in the spare cubby hole.

Ernie after careful inspection my paint sticker has only 3 lines the top row is the paint code the second and third rows are to color there isnt any other marking in the foil to indicate a forth line

Please check your spelling as the correct spelling on the sticker is as follows

11H 9 3
ELFENBEIN
PERLGLANZ

Thanks for your time, Stan

No the pic is playing trick on you ,it's no golden but aluminum (color). And yes the replicates does look a little like brushe aluminum,I choose that material versus the OEM one because it's a little thicker,it's weather proof ,don't crease easily & is a lot stickier than the OEM which is very very thin.Unless you concours the car & the judges get down to the nitty gritty I personally think the repro is a lot better than the OEM & had nothing but praise from peoples who have receive theirs & are very satisfy with them. The problems with those decals are that there is so much variations of them that unless you get a readable copy of the one for your car it's almost impossible to replicate. Some has letters & # like the one Rob Edwads send other has pattern to them, some also come with no border line & the corners are square instead of being round.Sending you guys some pics of different decals early cars , from a 993 Polar Silver & last one once again OEM versus replicated.Something I want to make clear I'm doing this as service & don't pretend those replicate are OEM,so if some of you still want some I,ll go ahead & get them done if possible that's the best I can do. THANKS
