BTW, these above are a screamin' deal.

This is about these lights and worth checking out:
http://www.ratwell.com/technical/BoschH4.html

And this is the same deal on the ebay seller's own website:
http://busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=0301600118

I guess even VW buses can outrun their headlights.

Also BTW, one of your FLAPS will sell Hella H4's.

I do agree that though 8" H4 is the best 7" H4 is the next best thing - vastly superior to H5 in every way except how they look.

If you have a little cash and drive at night throw away the sealed beams and buy 7" H4 from Bosch, Hella, Marchal or Cibie. Of the recommendations of users the highest seem to be for the Cibies but they may also be more expensive. They are all very good, these are the top brands, differences will be relativley small - all are glass.

Don't buy any other type of cheap eBay (mostly plastic) crap - there is a reason they are cheap...
If the listing mentions "diamonds" you can be sure of at least 2 things -

1) It doesn't have any diamonds

AND

2) Its crap.

Having said that - it would not be difficult to at least be better than a 7" DOT sealed beam - the bar is set very very low.

And this is an interesting deal on a higher wattage kit.

http://busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=VISIONKIT1
Performance Headlight Upgrade Kit
Kit Includes:
- Two German Bosch European spec H4 headlights (the highest rated on the market for Bus and Vanagon use - see this independent review)
- Two high quality German 90/100 watt H4 bulbs (roughly twice as bright as your stock bulbs)

- Simple, fully illustrated instructions.

What bothers me is that I am seriously thinking about buying a set of these headlights, but I live in the OC of SoCal where the only purpose of headlights are to annoy other drivers, the whole area is lit like a Xmas tree at night. Its just difficult to avoid the urge to "upgrade" anything upgradable.

BTW looks like about 5 have sold since I reported yesterday 17 were left.
