Me personally would buy a Ferrari Daytona if I had the cash. I think those cars are just gorgeous.

An original Ferrari Daytona for this kind of money would be the equivalent of a $10,000 GTS

There was a very nice fully restored Daytona that sold for $125K at auction a couple of years ago. It was I think also featured in the TV show 'what's your car worth' a while back.
They are out there.
Plus Henrich was selling his GTS for $10K last year.

Be thankful for Mr. Willhoit and the situation which brought him to his endearing love for this auto.

His enthusiam for the marque and his stature allows these prime examples to be brought to the masses.
Outside our little fifedom.

This car would be perfect with sport seats.
A friend of mine recently transformed a 70000 miles GTS 5 speed without sunroof in his new racecar ! ;-)

If it weren't for Michael I would not have this 94 GTS...

I was obviously happy with the price...And it was very professionally detailed (as in concours winning) before I received it.

It's refreshing to see that the majority of 928 owners have learned the value of these cars.

As I had noted before, this is a really really nice example. I actually competed in a pca concours against this car before selling my 928 and the owner was very disappointed when I won. I explained that it's a combination of condition and cleanliness if you want to win. He came back the following year and I know he did better but not sure how much better. Regardless, if I had the car for two weeks it would probably take the overall win, it really was in great condition and just needed someone to take it to the next level.

Bottom line is that if you have the $$ and want the car it's not a bad purchase. I believe Dave did some work on it too although he will have to confirm.

I did an inspection of it. Owner had work done elsewhere.

I may catch hell for saying it but... for close to 100k, it better be new or say Lamborghini on it.

You probably haven't checked what has happened to Daytona values during past few years. Trying to find ever restoration project which has all parts below 200k is futile.

This past week the show "Chasing Classic cars" sold a Daytona owned by Herb Chambers which had about 10K miles sold at auction for $350K and was in original mint condition.
So yes I agree they are very rare but not in the million dollar range anymore.

Only few best original spiders and comp models were in $1M club in late eighties. Normal coupes droped back to $100-150k in nineties. During past few years prices have at least doubled again.

....., out of curiosity could someone tell me why? it,s better to have a non-sunroof 928..., ? if it,s for headroom reasons, then I,m 6 ft tall and slim, and fit in mine just perfect (confused)
