I used a place in Dallas, but no idea what it is called or where it is at... I don't think there is anything in Austin, but might be something in SA.

Dang James! I really was waiting until after you posted because I just KNEW that you would know somebody down in your neck of the woods for this kindo of work, but since you don't......

CJ8 2 928 had some rims straightened just down the street from his office. I'll see if I can get him to post as I cannot remember the name of the place. They did a bang up job and the price was reasonable IIRC.

Contact

mrepella@austin.rr.com

He repaired my chipped Boxster wheel and refinished 4 of my 996 wheels.
Reasonable price and quick.

I forgot the company he represents in Austin,

Mike

John,

I am getting old and have CRS (Can't Remember $hit!), so I am of ZERO help this time. That place in Dallas had to weld up one of my rear Cup II's and did a great job with it.

Wheels America in Dallas, 214-330-9866 or Wheel Repair By Adam, 214-357-5400. I've used Wheels America and WR by Adam is recommended by several of the local PCA guys.

This place is a few miles from me and did a great job on one of my CIII wheels (straightened, removed curb rash, repainted) and the price was very good as I remember.

I had this happen once on a set of used wheels I purchased. Bent rim didn't become evident until I had them balanced & the car aligned. After that experience, I told myself to make sure on any future purchase of used wheels that I took into account having at least one straightened with the price.

How close to spec do they gt them when they are done?
It has always scared me to have that done, or have one welded due to not knowing what the alloy is and what level of heat treat it has.
