Default Broken Fog/Driving light housing attachments..

Common issue im reading..etc.

Has anyone considered epoxying on a new threaded mount...that the lens would screw into to attach to the bumper-side housing since the weak as hell tabs tend to snap?

I can not see where it will hurt to try.
If this will help I should have a couple of sets of US S4 fog/driving lights for sale in the next few weeks.

Maybe soften the brittle plastic tabs by heating them like puting in boiling water to soften them?

I've bought other sets of lights with broken lenses cheap and used them for spare mount pieces.

The key is to grease or Teflon the little bolts

On a previous set I made a hole in the plastic tab on the other side of the reflector and fixed the reflector with a small bolt and nut. Wasn't pretty but it worked. Took a few tries to get the correct alignment. As the plastic tab is brittle I didn´t drill but used a heated awl.

Beyond the screws and nuts that hold the assembly together, I suspect the most frustrating failure mode is the adjustment arms, when an adjustment screw is mistaken for an assembly screw. I've archived a couple sets of those arms and screws, along with reflectors that can be replated. Hoping beyond hope that some future lamp replacement will be for something other than a broken lens.
