In addition to producing an awkward looking vehicle by destroying a 928, it certainly does not seem to have resulted in a very good return on investment...
I wonder about the prototypes: did they inflict this damage on other 928s?
Hopefully the referenced "less than ten" quantity of spectacles is actually equal to only the one example......

Strange that so much was modded changed on this car. Why the 911/944 seats for example? The 928 seats were/are superior unless weight was the only consideration.
Would like to see the engine and underbody to understand the full extent of what has been changed/modded/fabricated.
Thanks for posting.

This particular car looks to be the one that sold at Barret Jackson a few years ago. These same guys made a couple of very cool looking race cars out of 928's. Carl Faucet had one of the early Spyders that they made. I don't think it was a completely finished car.

I built a tubing bender for a arched roll bar for the first proto type car. I laughed when I read the part about the team of engineers.
I knew the guys that took a million dollars off Jeff Pink one fumble at a time. Here is the first car with the arched roll bar. There was no top or side windows. The original windsheild was cut from an upside down Saab windsheild.
BTW: this design was done loooong before the boxster was ever released.
