Fuel Line replacement on 1980...where are they?
Got a KIT a few months back and lost the instructions. On my son's 1980 I see 2 flex fuel lines on the passenger side at firewall to intake. Are there any other lines on a 1980 that should be replaced??? Location? Do the venting hoses need to be replaced???? I have replaced the tank to fuel pump but I don't think that hose is included in any of the kits.
ALSO...I used a dremal to remove the rubber hose from the male fitting shown. As you can see the cutting wheel got into the barbs. I am afraid this may leak??? Thoughts? Do i need to replace this one?
Thanks again folks.

Hey Dean - I don't know if it helps with your 80, but Roger has the kit instructions hung off his web site at: http://s287999742.e-shop.info/online...cement_928.pdf
Personally, because it's high pressure AND fuel, I wouldn't trust that barb... sorry.

You will be replacing that one. Just cut about 3/4 through the rubber. And use a utility knife not the drenel, then peel off.
There will be a few hoses at the rear under the air filter. Or just email Roger I'm sure he will send you a PDF.

Dean, that barb looks a bit risky to re-use. I'd not try it.
I'll be at Rogers in the afternoon tomorrow and see if he has an extra one in the junk pile. If not, it would be time to call Mark Benton or Mark Anderson and see about getting a used one there.
Wait: Edit: I know I can get one local, but have no idea if it will be a quick get.

Dean,
As already said do not use that fitting.
The only other fuel hoses on the 80 in the engine bay are the eight injector hoses.

All 80's here are K Jet ... are US LH?? I only see K Jet on PET until 83.
If it's K Jet the only flex lines are the two that you can see on your passenger side ... all the lines from the fuel distributor to the injectors, WUR, etc are solid.

US 80-84 are L-jet. If you're looking in PET7 then you need to go back out to the main screen where you select the car, and choose the North American market tab

There is a flex hose up the back, from the filter up into the right rear fender area. The low pressure return hose in the engine bay was NLA when I was looking a tear or two ago, the high pressure line was available. Good luck with R&R'ing the two hose ends in the engine bay with the engine in place. Also, when I looked at the return hose from the steel line into the tank gauge head, it pulled off with very little effort - Replaced it with std fuel hose and a screw clip, still dry after 4+ years.

EDIT: Sorry Dean, I don't have a spare for that one.
For the injectors - I found it worked well to cut the rubber hoses in half (tin snips worked well) and then split the two hoses pieces lengthwise. That gave them enough flex so that they could pull out of the metal caps.
