Dear Gunar: You might jack up the car so that the drain plug is at the lowest point, and drain the oil..then use your piece of bent wire in the pan..other than that, you might have to go to harbour freight and get a cheap lighted borescope to find it and fish it out then...perhaps it will just come close enough to the drain hole so you can snag it. I would not have worried about it.
A) - could not have got past the oil intake mesh, but if it did ...
B) - it would have been shredded by the oil pump and ended up in little pieces in the oil filter.
You've probably got/had really destructive stuff constantly circulating in the oil, like sub-15 micron iron particles just waiting their chance to pop an oil film and make lots of baby iron particles.
A rare earth oil filter wrap will help quite a bit in getting those out of circulation.
