Pod recovering

The finished pod that I sent to Dean for his son's car was the best/last of the three prototypes my trim guy, Doug Corson, and I did. However, being the perfectionist that I am I have continued to think that there is still some adjustment that needs to be made in the pattern, but I have not been able to quite figure out where to adjust it.
After tracing all of these patterns for many of you guys I have been thinking about the needed correction and finally last night late it occurred to me where to make it, and it is very simple. What I am going to do is make the change and as soon and Doug and I can get together and I get the time to fill the cracks in one of my core pods I am going to try the change. I will also describe it a show how and where each of you can make it in the patterns I have already sent--if I am right and if it works.
What I thought I would do also is take a lot of pictures of the cover process and post them in this thread for those of you who are going to try this cover project for themselves. It will also give you all an idea how my heretofore proprietary process of forming leather into the openings looks, aside from the verbal description of it in my lengthy instructions.

just so you know, I was forming leather into the switch openings of pods, 5 years ago, so I'm not sure you can grab the credit for all of it

Let us know how you turn out with them guys. I will be doing mine sometime soon so if any of you get done with the patterns and want to pass them along let me know. I would have asked Jerry to begin with but I did not want him to go through the trouble when I was not ready to do the job yet.

You guys are all very welcome. As soon as I can find a few more mailing tubes I'll send the next small batch that have been requested, starting with Tony77. I bought up all the small tubes from the office supply store and all 6 that they had at the P.O., now I have to look around some more. I'll send you a set also rgs944 if you sned me your address and name.
