Dry on the inside? It's pretty tough to run the front pinion bearing dry. Check lash without lubricant on the gear faces. Noise from pinion gets louder as speed increases, from gearset gets higher pitched and louder as speed increases.

No..dry on the outside.

the LSD and tranny were never separated in the swap.
