Thanks - I will give it a try - how does it work in the insulation on wiring harnesses?

DC111 is not Dielectric grease,
it is a non setting silicone sealant

Re the rocker texture I used some 3M material in a pour-bottle. Put it on a terrycloth and dab it on, then knock off the nibs with 220 grit and it looks factory.

Dan suggested this to me years ago and it worked great. Don't put on too much or you will loose the texture, and it will just be a thick skin.

Erik,

Upol is the german poduct and comes in a spay can as well as a palstic bottle.

As far as the DC111 i was not suggesting to use it as a dielectric grease. My thinking is for the plastic sheath on the wiring harness - especially under the hood.

the DC111 will collect dirt but it may also rejuvenate the sheathing,
you could try that i never did
