Anybody looked at this one? I like it except for the chromed wheels. Auction ends today it's at $6600 right now. Has couple of detailed engine pics.

A few of us are near to there. Not sure when my workday ends, but I might be able to swing by if it isn't dark. Worth noting my own experience only runs up through S3, though.

Thanks, very cool of you to offer, if it's not much trouble I would really appreciate it. The carfax has nothing from last 50k miles, 2003-present :-(

The only thing I know is it hasn't any service history, so timing belt change unknown. Plan accordingly.

I spoke to the seller but have not seen the car. He told me his son's dealership took it in trade and he had been driving it over the last few months. Has no records for the car and no idea when the timing belt was last done. Nice enough guy and can arrange to bring the car into a lighted shop if you can't get a chance to see the car in the daylight. When I spoke to him, he had no problem with a PPI, which would be essential IMHO. I don' t know of any place in Waldorf to get a PPI but there is a shop in Annapolis (about 40 minutes away) that other rennlisters have told me would be good for a PPI, There is also a highly regarded shop in Sterling Va, but that is a good distance from Waldorf.

Could be a good deal. I know he wants it gone...

Thanks Otto.

Auction ends tonight (wish I found this earlier). I'm looking at ob's for most part.

Might go for it, but only if it stays 7k or below in price.

Since the car is so clean and a/c blows cold maybe (hopefully) the car was well maintained mechanically too. Wish there were some service receipts!!!!

Love the colors- if it is just the digital camera that is making the interior tones appear odd. They can be cruel like that.

Analog clock, too!

A little sumtin' under the '8' on the passenger door sill...hopefully not delaminating...wonder if the "title correction" was for a repaint/color change.

Still looks nice. Concur on the wheels though.
I may be biased, that is pretty much exactly what I was trying to find before I bought the blue car.

Thanks, my gut is telling me to pass on this one. Probably should wait until next spring at this point, with another NY winter almost here.

Often it's a good idea to follow your gut if it's telling you to pass.

However, this can be the best time of the year to get a good price on a 928 (or any sports car) as prices tend to go up in the spring with warm weather on the way and tax refunds in (some) people's pockets.

Hmmmm, might be worth a shot. Just wish it was another color besides black. I have black in my closet already.
