Default Fuel Hose for Todays Fuels - 928sRus

-------All Hose Kits are for Off Road Use only----

This has been discussed here many times. What EFI fuel hose can be used and are compatible with the over 40 different EPA approved fuel blends available today and in particular - ethanol.

The SAE 30R9 hose (generally available) is the hose specification of choice for EFI systems and used in our fuel hose kits. It is not completely compatible with all of the fuels used today and in particular may be affected LONG TERM by Ethanol. Up until now no suitable alternative was available that was both compatible with modern day fuel blends and would also meet CARB low-permeation requirements.

A new hose is now available that conforms to all these requirements and meets or exceeds the older SAE J30R9 specification. The new hose exceeds SAE J30R14T2 (except for kink resistance).

All our fuel hose kits will in future be using the new hose. Same price and availability.

This does not mean that there is anything wrong with SAE30R9 hose but fuel blends have changed and the new hose is better able to offer longevity.

-------All Hose Kits are for Off Road Use only----

Bruce,
SAE30R9 but nothing wrong with it - been used for years without issue.
The Porsche hose still uses older technology as well as the U hose.

Maybe also suggest a yearly inspection of the fuel lines. Problem is most people if not all replace their fuel lines and forget about them, never check them again for damage or cracks.

Kink resistance is great and better than SAE30R9. As long as you maintain the minimium bend rad no issues at all - of course that applies to any hose.
