Default need a racing seat, helmet, and HANs

If anyone knows of a race car being parted out where i can get a decent race seat, let me know. also, could use a decent new helmet, and a HANs device if anyone knows of one.

This is going to be an expensive start of the year of racing for 2012.
new seat, helmet , belts, hans.

So much for cheap racing this season!

Why do you need new ones? Are yours out of date?

Mark,

I have a Hans that I'm selling for a friend. It's one of the early models - just like the later ones as far as I can tell, except that it doesn't have the slightly upturned edges on top of the shoulders. It has the quick detachment for the helmet lugs. Excellent condition, as this guy is very particular about his equipment. You'd need to buy helmet lugs for your new helmet, of course.
He used it for about 4 seasons for DE's in his 928 GT. Then, a friend retired from DE's for medical reasons and gave him a bunch of his stuff, including a later Hans device.

It's available for $250, plus shipping from zip 19382. I imagine it would be about $25-20.

Send me an e-mail or PM if interested.

It may be that the SCCA has to finally come up to modern gear..and to do that, you get to replace a lot of stuff.

Why not.

You can wash, or just replace the soft bits in most good helmets. The date & condition of the shell are the only regulatory variables.
