Tony...wow...I certainly am not helping my employer out today! Read this entire post, and kinda bummed that it ended! I am waaaaay behind you, but reading with interest! What did you strip the paint with? My paint is so bad, I am literally pulling it off with duct tape (not on purpose, just worked out that way )

Ron, Get back to work ! Tried a few brands of stripper, and O'Reilly's paint stripper seemed to work the best. (Pic below) We had to take off 4-5 previous paint jobs to get down to the metal and used 4+ gallons of the stuff. Be sure to use in a well ventilated area and heavy rubber gloves. Just brush it on, preferably on a warmer day, and let the stripper do it's thang. I took Podguy's advice and finish rinsed with a baking soda & water solution. Have fun. T

Tony which one??? I bought a '95 and a '78 in the same week...they are both in progress. The '95 had H2O pump failure on the way to me and then 3 hours from me (after the H2O pump repair...along with all that goes on with the first big one of those) it hit a damn deer! That car is at the body shop waiting on parts...maybe forever waiting on parts. They really should have been here by now I think.

The '78 is still up in PA with Kevin getting prepped for some nice paint work. Robert Budd is working on the Pasha cloth interior (heck he might be done with most of it by now actually) and then it will go on to Jim for the interior install and some other various and sundry repairs and updates to make it a hell of a nice car... Could be the earliest auto in the country! We have not found an earlier one and in that first year 80%+ of the 928's built had 5spd tranny's...not Rogerboxes!
