I think somone has forgotten that you never recoup repair costs on any car. No affiliation.

Or else his wife wants him to sell and he just set a price that won't happen?

I had a friend once that went to look at an older corvette, and when he got out in the car with the seller, the guy said the car is not for sale and you are the only person who has come out and that's why I priced it si high. He only put it for sale because of his wife, but the wife agreed he only sell it if he got $x for it, so he set the price sky high. Smart guy!
