I will be doing intake refresh and a few other items. I keep switching back and forth between the big 3 trying to figure out the best pricing for vacuum hoses and fuel lines, temp sensor, cps, etc.
One, any suggestions on the best? I'm in the midwest so shipping from West Coast is a 4-5 day affair.
Also the pricing for the vacuum hoses and fuel lines seem pretty pricey. Especially the vacuum lines... just wondering if anyone has done this and can so if it's worth it to buy these kits vrs fashioning your own??

I bought two spools of Wurth vacuum line (unsure of the sizes) to refresh my engine.
IMO it's the best way to go and it's more expensive than the kits.
As for fuel lines, unless you have a good local source for quality hose and the proper clamps (like I do) these kits cannot be beat.

Yes, the little stuff is pricey but the hoses have goofy curves in them and the genuine Porsche parts are easiest to install and may have some not obvious benefits. Roger has a nice kit for all the vac lines and connectors.
Like any of these tasks, when you are ready to sink all the time and efiort into it, just swallow hard and get ready to pay up. I personally don't want to ever go back in and re-do one of these jobs so it's worth it to me to do it once and do it right ...

FWIW I am in UK and did complete intake refurb and other bits early this year. I dont know who the 'big 3' are, I can only go by the service I get. Also delivery is a big issue for UK delivery. Roger at 928RUS for me has consistently outperformed other US suppliers ( there are no significant UK suppliers). For the intake job, I sent Roger my shopping list and he made constructive suggestions/omissions I had made. The big thing for me was the fact that when the shipment arrived ALL the parts were there and correct. No other 928 supplier has managed that yet. The best part is he was the most competitivly priced too. He is the man unless you know EXACTLY what you want

+1 here, I have always gotten outstanding service from Roger.
RE: hoses, one can get Greg's hoses direct from Greg, or one can get them from 928Intl. Strangely enough I stopped at Mark's today to pick up a few groceries for the weekend, and snapped a cell phone pic of the hose display. I hadn't seen the CIS fuel lines before, they look pretty cool.
Left to right-ish, top to bottom:
87-89 oil cooler hoses
90-95 oil cooler hoses
Clutch hose from swaybar bracket to clutch slave
'stock' clutch hose from swaybar bracket to oil pan bracket/hardline
PSD slave hose
'stock' S4 fuel feed line
fuel filter to RR wheelwell supply hose
modded S4 fuel feed line, avoids running the line over the pass side valve cover
Rear 'U' hose, S4
front fuel hose, S4
Fuel return line from FPR to cooler
Several CIS things...
