Anyone looked at the Trucklite LED option....I saw some at a rod shop, and they were amazing...about 500$ a pair...
Yes.
Have to revert back to the OB internal assembly, you can buy them new. Martin took the OB chrome rings, had them stripped and painted body color.
Brights
Beam pattern is direct and very good, didn't get any good distance shots the other night but I'll try and get some the next time the car is here. They are just as bright as the HID's that were taken off and you don't have to worry about blinding everyone around you.
Talk to Roger - I recommend in the headlight buckets themselves (like Herman showed) - but fuse the feeders.
Alan
They are fused at the source. It is a nifty set up and I'm impressed with it. Having installed three sets and not finding any issues with it I plan on doing it also.
Sean - those sound interesting - however I have to say 8" H4s (or even H5s) look better. Do they (will they) make 8" versions?
Alan
I was talking about Hermans set up.
As to the trucklites set up, 7" is all I'm aware of and the thing I thought was neat on them they only draw 1.5amp on high and they use the H4 connectors.
Yep - I knew what you mean wrt fusing. Not much point doing local relays on the LED things.
Are they really as bright as HID ? have you tried any side by side comparison?
Alan
No, as he uninstalled the HID's to install these. I think there is only one HID equipped car around here now and it never gets driven at night. I took mine out due to getting flashed and the two kits I used were junk.

Would be direct fit to an OB with H4's.
Pretty slick, not sure how I feel about the look of them though.
