Did a search and no results.
Will wiring alone help?

You need to see what the output is with the stock wiring in place. No matter how hot mine seems to get, or how dim the lights in the dash appear, Ive noticed that my headlights never seem to get dim. Too many cars get their stock wiring butchered over a problem that could be corrected with a simple cleaning of a ground or other terminal where a connection is made.

Ive done this to my 951 & my 928. The upgrade to 7" H4 really helped, but the wiring update to eliminate voltage drop really made a difference.

Actually the stock wiring in this case is quite poor and will drop a significant ampount even with the stock bulbs.

When you say you have 8" H4's are the Bosch/Hella varieties or something else?

They really should be very very adequate (or better) if they are OEM lenses

H5's here.

Had the HID kit installed and you could see for miles. Problem is no one else around you could because they were blind. Went back to the stock wiring with the 85/100 bulbs in place of the 55/85 there and to me it is a perfect balance. After re-aiming the headlights I do not get flashed by other drivers, can see much further than before.

Roger was talking about these Silverstars and have not tried them but have heard great things from other people.

Sean: Stock wiring on 85/100s...yer losing about 25-30% of your voltage on the stock wiring. And pushing heat into things/places on the stock wiring/panel.

I have one WHITE *** bright 85/100 bulb on relays, and one yellow 85/100 bulb on OEM wiring right now.

Before..I thought they were both pretty bright..i was wrong.

8" H4's here too.

With the lights on at warm idle?

Not too bad.

13.6 would be better.

I measured lights on, idle, warm engine/alt...at the hot post of the bulb.

This may be a dumb question but how can you tell if you have H5 vs H5 headlights?
