When the light switch is turned on, the lights popped up, and when i turned off the ignitition the lights stay up. They will not go down and i have to manually lowered the lights. Could it be that the motor is going bad and not be able to lower the lights?? All the clips are on the bar as suggested in the past forums...Any suggestions?? Thanks

We don't know why the engine was lock, any how its running and we are hoping all goes well. Ignition switch? If that is the problem,do you have to remove the pod??? Man what a pain this car is...

If the motor will raise the lights, it is OK.
The problem is much more likely to be in the headlamp relay, or possibly in the electrical contacts in the end of the motor/gearbox. A couple of folks have reported that they were able to clean the contacts inside the headlamp relay. The contacts inside the motor/gearbox can be cleaned and lubricated.

Absolutely correct - if they do not go down when you turn the headlights switch to off, with the ignition on, then that's a relay problem!

Mark, you are correct -
On both my cars here in the garage, if the headlights are up and on when you turn off the ignition they stay up, but off. If you turn the headlight switch to off they do not go down until you turn the ignition key to the position just before start. If you leave the headlamp switch in the up position, they come back on when the ignition is in the position before start.
I'm going with the relay.....
