So this morning I moved the car out of the driveway and parked it on the curb while the lawn got cut. I was just going to bring it back inside now and the car would not start. It cranks but no start.
Found some posts here indicating this can happen as a result of starting the car and driving a very short distance (in my case just a few feet) before turning it back off.
One suggestion was to try starting it with the gas pedal all the way to the floor. I did that but still no start. Should I have maybe held the key for longer time when doing this?

I only tried once though-I'll go try 3 times now and see if that does it. Thanks!

ok I tried 3 times in a row 10 seconds each time...nothing ![banghead](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/banghead.gif)
oh I also just remembered another thing I noticed recently was my odometer stopped working but don't know how long it had been that way before I noticed. probably unrelated anyway but figured I'd mention it

The odometer is probably unrelated, it is fed by a sensor on the rear of the transmission.
As to the non-start, if you can leave it out relatively safe, I would leave it and try to start it again in the morning. If you feel like further fault finding tonight, here are some tips: http://www.jdsporsche.com/fault%20find.html

Odometer quitting is a common problem, not a matter of if but when it fails. It's a crappy gear inside the speedometer, takes about two hours to replace.
Next, have someone crank the engine over and put your head down towards the ground, at the right rear bumper. If you hear a whining sound as someone is cranking the car, that is good news. If you don't hear a cranking, we can tell you some further things to test.

hold the pedal to the floor and crank for 15 seconds if its flooded it should start.

Guess next thing is to try swapping the fuel pump fuse and relay?

Before fearing the worst, remove the fuel pump fuse and then crank the engine with foot to the floor... it may take several attempts before it fires. 10 seconds bursts are about right.

So I tried the suggestions above to no avail. Fuses and relays all checked out (though I found foglight relay had been rigged). Had car towed to shop where they hooked it up to a computer and found a couple injectors stuck. Had injectors replaced and new spark plugs put in and she's back up and running.
Thanks to everyone for their help
