I wasn't going down until Saturday but if it saves me from having to get there super early on Saturday I may ride down tomorrow afternoon and also get registered. If you register on line wouldn't that do the same thing as going there?

I registered online too, but i believe you still have to drop by registration to check in, pick up passes (i also registered for the 5 laps on the track), and your "goodie bag". They told me i would be on the preregistration list so it should be a quick process. I just want to avoid having to be there at 6:30am...which is when Sat Registration starts...

Updated info on the site...
"Registration will take place in the Earnhardt Parking lot, you will see the Big Registration Ticket Office in the parking lot. Once you register or if you have pre-registered, you will get your goodie bag, which will contain parade route maps, track information, Mille event dash plaque, commemorative sticker and the Parade # sticker. This sticker will have your parade # written in the write oval and needs to be placed in the upper left hand corner of your windshield. The goodie bag will also contain your registration paperwork and you MUST sign the insurance waiver.
After you return the registration form, you will get your Mille ticket & wristbands for co-drivers and spectators. Please place the Mille Parade # sticker on the upper left hand corner of the windshield. Please then drive your car to the Photography bulding and have your Registration Photo taken by Robert Combier Photography. Robert and his team will also be taking photos of the parade along the route and in the air by helicopter. Robert will also be taking the aerial photos when we fill Atlanta Motor Speeway bumper to bumper with Porsche. You will be able to purchase any of these photos at the event or afterwards on this website.
SATURDAY November 5th 2011
6:30am Gates Open for Final Vendor set up and arrangements on Vendor Row.
6:30am Final Registration for The Mille Parade, Porsche Concours d’Elegance & Laps on Atlanta Motor Speedway. Registration lanes open at 7:00am, if you have Pre-Registered, there will be a separate table for you to get your goodie bag!
7:00am – 9:30am Parade Cars Take Position & preparations in the Earnhardt parking lot"
...so it looks like you could probably do it with no problem Sat morning if you preregister.
...i just want to sleep in as late as possible, and since i'm headin down Fri anyway i might as well knock it out then...

yep..better idea for sure its just so far south from even downtown Atlanta. So if you go Saturday after picking up your registration stuff how late can wit to go in then?
Also, any idea how they are going to schedule the 5 laps. I wanted to do that as well but didn't want to sit there for 10 hours after the parade waiting. Also, if there are just a 1,000 cars and we all do 5 laps how long would that possibly take? Multiple cars at the same time but spaced?

Scott...
sayz the lineup is 7-9:30, so i'll probably roll in around 9:28am...then the Parade will start at 10:00..... after the parade they will line cars up on track for aerial pics, then immediately vacate the track to begin exhibition laps.
