I have a chance to buy a very clean 1982 928 Weissach. I would say very good condition. Interior is excellent. The body has a few very small dings. Includes luggage. Any help with a value would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah it has 45000 miles.
Please help I need to make decision quickly.
Thank you!

Wessach is all about the interior and the luggage. Hard to say on the value without a lot more info. If it was rough it would be under $2K. If it was perfect it might be $20. Based on what you have said, I would guess somewhere in the $6k to $8k range, but that's just a guess.

Pictures and an idea on service records will help us give you an idea on worth.
I've got an 82k mile one here right now getting a total work over, so far the parts costs are close to $3700.00. Got a timing belt/water pump, total top end refresh and fuel hoses. The car has luggage inside it with great interior and I feel the car is worth $12-14k as it sits. Might be worth more though.

The current owner purchased the car from the original owner ( so it's a 2 owner car) with the intention of keeping it. He is a Porsche mechanic and says it was in storage for 10 years and he has "restored it to perfect mechanical condition" although I don't know for sure what was done. He did say the timing belt was replaced by the previous owner. He says the paint is flawless but I did find several small dings. The wheels have been replaced with after market but the originals are included. He has also installed a later model year spoiler over the original? I have no idea why but it would need to be removed. What is the easiest way to upload pics.
Thank you in advance for your help.

That looks damn good, except for that extra wing.

Very nice looking!
IMO, get rid of the wing, wheels and the big exhaust pipe tips.

DAMN! That is a nice looking 82! Usually the dash is cracked, steering wheel stiching is crap, driver's side seat bolster ripped up carpet looks like a used diaper, etc and the sellers looking for extra coin only because it's a Weissach... I'd be leary of the milage on OBs only because of the gears in the odometer breaking, but based on the interior, I'd say it jibes with the milage--that car's had a good life. If the service record tracked and a good PPI, you could have a winner if the price is right.
I'm guessing the car NOT having the original platinum anodized rims will help you beat down the price.
Somebody posted pics of the two-wing thing here a couple years ago--I wonder if it's the same

Not a Weissach!!! Unless the interior colors in the Pics are playing games.
Check the paperwork and what number is it?

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

I agree it is very nice but knowing nothing about the value except what I have been able to find on the internet I am afraid to pull the trigger. I have read some horror stories of huge repair bills. I know these don't really appreciate in value and that's ok but I am afraid it's priced at the top of the range.
It would be comforting to know that if I wanted out of it I could at least get my money back.
That's why I was hoping to get some unbiased expert opinions from 928 lovers.
