Default down on power?

Empty hwys in very rural AB was showing a Nissan his place but noticed the acceleration above ~220 was slow in coming........I didnt max her out in 3rd and wasnt going for absolute broke I just thought there should have been more.

Car is in great tune but the cams are positioned for more torque and pls dont invite MK t that discusion.

Mileage is 186k kms.

Check to see if the right rear passenger seat belt is in the proper slot.

advancing the cams for more bottom end reduces the top end.

S4s tend to accelerate slower at higher RPMs due to the cam profiles.

George Suennen's S4 would top out at 120 MPH. Problem was caused by a bad intank fuel pump acting as a flow restrictor.

hmmmm.....so the cams even if set in the stock position would have the same 'slow' top end acceleration. need cams and a stroker me thinks.

no intank fuel filter.....intake is fully refreshed with new fuel injectors, rebuilt MAF and LH (JDS) w/PEMs. 120MPH is ~ 190kmh and she gets there with no issue its above that. Should also add it was beautiful fall day w lots of cool air.

Tonys youtube is where Id like to be.......thats impressive.
