I feel I have to give huge props to Colin. He exemplifies what Rennlist is all about and I feel blessed to have met him and have him near me.
I have been dealing with my work schedules, family and trying to short out Violet in order to get her inspected by the Province and get her permanent license plates. She, as all beautiful women, has the expected temperament and needs a lot of TLC. Once we thought that we had a good handle on things and she was ready to get inspected, i took her to an "approved" Provincial shop that I know locally to get through the inspection.
Well it turned out that without DOT lights and the 3rd brake light the inspection was a no go... So I called Colin to the rescue.
"Sure come on over" was his response. " Can I come after work?" I dared to ask...
"Yes of course you can"...
Needless to say after some precision surgery at 9pm last night Violet was ready for the hardcore bureaucrats of BC.
Colin, not only has gone above and beyond, but way way way out of his way to make things happen... All i can say is a HUGE Thank you and give him props.
Not only he is a master of knowledge and wrench with our 928's but a heck of a great guy as well.

Thanks gents!
And Tony, I do agree to an extent. But oh how the car moves when they are installed (just ask S4ordie).
You should have asked for a ride, I'm sure we could have swayed you into a set after that![Stick Out Tongue](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
And I'm glad that you finally got her through Danny. Now your wife cannot complain too much more......

I have been working with Colin for a few years but we met for the first time at Sharktoberfest.
What a brilliant young man - a Greg Brown in the making - wonderful to see them both interact at SF.
Colin you are an asset to the 928 community.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

Yes and no Mark.
I think about it all the time.... and I'm always looking at ways to improve things. And for a year I did do just mechanics for a year.
But there are simply not enough people in the lower mainland to be able to just work on 928s etc full time.
There would be if my overhead wasnt as high as it is, and I didnt want to do as much inventing as I did!
But in order to tackle high cost projects like the camshafts, etc. My other job (which I spend more time at), is mineral exploration. I design, build, repair, manage, and run wireline drill rigs, also known as diamond drills (due to the use of a diamond impregnated drill bit). Due to this job, I have gotten to see a good portion of the world (23 countries so far). But it limits my time at home for actually working on the cars.
