what weight/type engine oil do you use?

Heck our cars are 30 years old. I would imagine frequent oil changes would help.

+1 cant see the harm. in my experience i will just clean up the engine inners.only down side i can see is a little wear on the drain plug thread..

Royal Purple 10/40 all year. Never a problem in winter, or Vegas heat in the summer. Vegas does average 10 degrees cooler than Phoenix. I get RP by the case from Summit, around 8 bucks a guart.
Oil is cheap when compared to everything else on these cars.

I don't use Mobile 1 either, long story not worth going into but I'm happy with Brad Penn and VR-1. I'm not sure what I'm going to use at the track next year when I get my 79 back together. Probably Brad Penn.
