That's nice.

Come to Elkhart Lake and run a 45 minute session with an average lap time of 2:29 or better and get back to me. Why 2:29? That's the time the slowest car on this team is trying to beat this weekend.

All three of the Vette's on my team would lap you repeatedly and there is a Fox Body Mustang in ST1 that walks away from them like they discharged a parachute. Did I mention the lap records they've set at Mid-Ohio, Miller Motorsports, and Autobahn Country Club?

My 79 has been a track car since the early 90's with 4 different owners and the engine is bone stock (no cooler, had an accusump for a short while). I don't go around bragging about it's longevity compared to other track cars because it's not making any power and isn't putting down a lap time I'm very proud of.

Sure I could build a sub-300rwhp Corvette that would last forever. What's the point?

I just marvel at how quickly you go from a comment/concept to the finished product. Truly amazing and inspiring.

They do, and the owners steal chit, and many have bad breath.

The whole point of my Estate is what can be done the LEAST $$$$ possible to get the most reliable 928 racer you can..... There are plenty of 928 "race" cars around that were built many years ago...that might see the track once per year.....

Clearly my Estate is on the very bottom end of the racing budget spectrum Your 79 is in the middle, and machines like Anderson, Fan, Larry and Andy are near the top!!!!

I kinda agree with Brian - racing whatever car you have at or near its capacity is what it is all about. The prize money just isn't that great and the trophies are pretty small. Going around a 3 mile track 15 or 20 seconds faster than someone else isn't really the objective. Brian can go around 15 or 20 seconds faster than some guy that brings his stock Volvo 244 out to the track for the first time. But, which one of them will have the best experience? Probably both of them.

Bragging is always proportional to audience. I have a georgous 27 year old cousin who is a Hooker by trade. I sometimes invite her to Harley functions but never mention her at church.

Pictures of said cousin...?

Larry, if you were going to make something for the street using the T56 or T6060, when do you think something like that would be available? I'd be interested in a rear setup like you are running.

I'm interested on both accounts.

We have no idea when we will get around to putting a T56 etc behind a Porsche engine. It's part of the plan, but keeps getting pushed back for other projects. We have an 86 chassis that we want to start working on, but still plan to use an LS? motor.
