Default Upper Ball joint nut

I am in the process of finishing the suspension and the last nut on the front upper A arm does not want to tighten. Any thoughts?
I tried loosening it but it just spins. Does not want to tighten or come off.
Thanks
Bilal

The ball joint stud is probably spinning. Use a bar to pry down on the upper control arm to wedge the tapered ball joint stud into the steering knuckle. This should cause enough friction to keep the stud from turning and allow the nut to tighten. Alternatively, you could put a jack under the lower arm and raise the lower arm to make the upper joint stud wedge into the knuckle. Just be careful you don't lift the car completely off the stand.

I use a long clamp for woodworking or furniture gluing to squeeze the two A-arms together.
